See what we’re doing at The Lost Bay Studio? Bringing you cool exclusive products and even cooler interviews. And there's more coming, hahaha (weird but cool laugh).
Last week The Lost Bay Studio launched the Newsletter Ring initiative. A support network between TTRPG designers aimed at building bridges between RPG enthusiasts and creators. Today I’d like to introduce you to Meatcastle, a really cool publisher. Let me share a bit from MISSIVES FROM THE MEATCASTLE latest issue, where they dig into the financial nitty gritty of running a Kickstarter Campaign.
With the final backer rewards going out this week (with one frustrating exception) and some of the first retailer orders heading out as well, I figured I’d dig into the nitty-gritty publishing side of The Bloodfields at Blackstar Station project (which includes Ultimate Badass) and break down how it’s sold, the money it’s made, and more. I know these types of posts can be helpful for folks that are just getting started and with this being my first time using Kickstarter, it seemed especially worth doing.
You should also check Blinking Birch Games’ newsletter, by Sam Leigh. Sam is an incredible creator and content producer. She’s one of my main sources to stay updated on what’s happening in the scene.
That's all I got for today. I’m about to put on my beanie, cause it’s cold out there, and visit a beautiful and super old typography shop for the next upcoming secret cool project. Take care folks.
