MOTHERSHIP
From writer Jason Boschman, The Stone-Flesh Gift sends Mothership characters through the literal guts of a living alien spaceship. Spread the infection and plug your cortex into this 40pg zine of xeno body horror.
THE LOST BAY
For The Lost Bay RPG, Allen Hall also brings you A Night on Rose Hill, a duet post-death adventure for one player and GM. THE WILL OF THE FOREST
Appalachian folk horror ported to The Lost Bay!
keeps blessing us with a constant stream of TLB supplements. Like The Will of The Forest, a fantastic-looking adventure taking place in the heart of the Gareth Pines Park where a charming Not Deer awaits you.GAMING
All Flesh is Surplus sees a series of gaming sessions run by GMs of the TLB community. Next week, four sessions are planned, and there is still room for three of them. Hop into The Lost Bay discord and book a session.
This past week, I ran HORDE, a point-crawl adventure included in the upcoming hardback book. That was a fascinating session because despite the adventure being about surviving a violent crowd of rioters (not rioters, something else, but I’m not going to spoil it), not a single fight happened. The tension ramped up during the whole session to the point the characters and the player were holding their breath. I applied the predicaments about Magical Realism I talked about some time ago and exclusively used randomized nodes and NPCs. The takeaway: you don’t need blood to be spilled to get freaked out.
DE SINU, AD ASTRA
From the Bay to the Stars.
Verdant Core, a veteran member of the TLB community, is running a month-long post-by-post campaign. This adventure pushes the boundaries of the setting and brings the characters to an orbiting space station. In The Lost Bay, characters have powers. Using those powers might trigger Scars and violent events that affect the characters or the environment. It will be fun if a Firestarter turns unwillingly into a human pyre in a space station module. The game happens in the TLB server, and you can follow/read the adventure as it unfolds. Verdant has put together a series of retro-looking maps and schematics. I’ve heard that this might be released as a module later on.
AROUND THE BAY
Let me hand the mic over to
.“Chris Airiau calling in to shout out The Hands That Feed!
invited me to contribute to his corporate horror anthology for Mothership RPG. The adventure In Vino Captivitas takes 4 of the 8 plug-n-play corps and drops them all on a contested vineyard where genemodding trouble is afoot!”IKO here: I’ve read the adventure, and I can guarantee it’s fantastic. Chris achieves the daunting task of designing a corporate horror adventure dripping with Frenchness and red wine. It’s fun, spooky, and studded with clever tables. It’s one of the most entertaining modules I’ve read this year. On top of this, Marco’s design and layout skills keep ramping up with every new book. If you’re into Sci-Fi, Mothership, or a nice book, then you must check out the Kickstarter.
That’s all we got for you today.
If you haven’t yet, join the All Flesh is Surplus game jam!
Have a great Sunday
Iko, Chris Airiau
So happy you loved In Vino Captivitas, Iko! I agree Chris did a number on it!
